Occupation:
FFF: I am a PR consultant. I started off as a journalist and made the switch to public relations early in my career. I work on corporate strategies, reputation management and write a variety of communications materials including speeches for executives, website content, marketing and proposals. My work is fun and I get to work on a variety of exciting projects.
How would you describe your style?
FFF: My style is sophisticated and classic with an edge. Bold color and eye popping accessories are a part of my signature look.
I love to pile on accessories and add a dimension of glam and sophistication to everything I wear. My style is constantly evolving and I love to have fun with fashion so I might be chic and conservative one day and fun and sassy the next day. That’s the wonderful thing about fashion; you can play with different looks depending on your mood.
Who or what most influences your fashion style sense?
FFF: My style is influenced by colors and textures and people. I have always loved bold color and different textures and the way they look and feel next to each other. I also get great inspiration from other bloggers who always inject such originality and flair into the way they style their clothing.
Celebrity most admired for their fashion style:
FFF: I love when a woman owns her style and wears what looks amazing on her, whether it is a trend or not. I love Michelle Obama, Victoria Beckham, Shala Monroque, the late Audrey Hepburn, Naomi Campbell and Sara Jessica Parker. Each of these women has amazing style and a signature look that they are known for. And what I find the most refreshing is the iconic status they have all achieved by embracing and celebrating the style that makes them authentically themselves.
Your friends/peers know you best for what fashion accessory obsession?
FFF: My obsessions are jewelry, shoes and handbags! I think great accessories are like the icing on cake. They sweeten things up! My readers know that I am definitely an accessory lover!
What colors are you most drawn to when choosing a handbag?
FFF: I love bold stand out colors, animal prints and neutrals that I can pair with anything in my wardrobe.
When it comes to fashion ….a) what will you splurge on? b) What are most price conscience about?
FFF:I love to splurge on quality shoes and handbags. A great pair of shoes can make an average outfit look phenomenal! I am very price conscious about fads and trends and always look for bargains with trendy clothing, but invest in classic timeless pieces I can wear season after season.
Describe the core focus/objective of your blog:
FFF: I think the core focus of my blog is to inspire. I try to inspire my readers with my three greatest passions, food, fashion and writing (which I call my flow). I have Southern roots and in my family the women did everything with style. Food was prepared and presented with flair, clothing was stylish and eye catching and I was always influenced by these things. My poetry and insights on life come from my life experiences, which I love to share with my readers. I try to find the joy in life and try to inspire my readers as well as myself. I love being inspired and it is my joy to inspire others on a variety of different levels. I like to think of my blog as an inspirational experience, especially the posts that fuse fashion and poetic insights on life.
What has been the biggest surprise of all in regards to your experience running a blog?
FFF: The biggest surprise has been the fulfillment I get from inspiring my readers and the amazing response I get from my readers. I am amazed at the wonderful people I have developed relationships with and I am always moved that people find me inspiring and uplifting.
What are you most excited about to share with your readership in regards to Mimi Boutique’s accessory selection?
FFF: Mimi Boutique has an amazing buffet of stylish accessories. There are some amazing accessories that I think would add some panache to any outfit . There are so many great selections to choose from that it is difficult to pick a favorite, but there are definitely some items that have captured my attention such as the feather cuff bracelet, motorcycle bag and layered bracelets.
